Physician, specialist in neuropsychiatry and forensic psychiatry, Doctor of medical Science, professor of Medical faculty at the University of East Sarajevo. He works as a psychiatrist, as a clinician in the non-institutional treatment of mental disorders. He is a regular court expert in the Republic of Srpska (BiH). Milan Novaković has published more than 150 professional and scientific papers in national and international journals. Researches that he has been working on are in the field of social psychiatry, suicidology, victimology, liaison and forensic psychiatry. As a result of research work, he has published two books: Growing up, Suffering, Sacrifice, Neglect, and textbooks of Neuropsychiatry and Medical ethics (for students) and Basic science of behavior (for students). He is member of the editorial board of several professional, cultural and scientific journals. In education is engaged in the last three decades. Nowadays, he is engaged in trans-cultural psychiatry, medical ethics, medical law and existentialist philosophy.
